About Mac Mae

Mac Mae is a residential care home in Nottinghamshire providing accommodation and support for people with learning disabilities. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

The service provides accommodation and nursing care for up to six people with learning disabilities in one building with bedrooms, communal facilities, a kitchen and laundry. At inspection, six people were using the service. Inspectors found that infection prevention control practices were not effectively embedded.

Social distancing measures were inadequate, with no visible signage reminding people about handwashing and respiratory hygiene. Cleaning equipment was insufficient and records did not show that additional infection control measures had been implemented. The registered manager was committed to maintaining a homely environment and responded positively to feedback, taking immediate action to address the areas identified during inspection.
