Lynfield

Lynfield provides personal care for up to nine people with complex physical and learning disabilities, with each resident having their own bedroom and access to shared facilities including a hydrotherapy suite. At the time of inspection, all nine available places were occupied. The service is operated by Kingsley Healthcare Limited as part of their specialist care provision.

The home's care model is designed to maximise residents' independence, and the provider has negotiated additional hours to support people accessing their local community. However, the service was not consistently demonstrating how it met key principles around providing the right support, right care, and right culture. During lockdown, community access understandably decreased, but daily care records showed in-house activities were not always offered as a substitute. Staff expressed a desire to do more to promote residents' independence.
