The Moorings

The Moorings provides personal care to up to 53 older people, including those living with dementia. Risk management systems work effectively to keep residents safe, with assessments in place and appropriate measures to reduce harm. Medicine management is robust, with regular checks ensuring people receive medications when needed. Staffing levels are adequate to meet residents' needs, and recruitment follows safe practices.

Staff receive training and support to care for residents effectively. Health and dietary needs are assessed and monitored, with concerns promptly referred to healthcare professionals. Infection control processes minimise the risk of cross contamination. The service has systems to learn from incidents and uses these to drive improvement. Residents are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff treating them with respect and compassion while supporting them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.
