Holmwood Residential Home

The home accommodates up to 32 older people in one adapted building. Inspectors found several strengths in how the service operated. Wi-fi was available throughout, allowing residents to independently keep in touch with family and friends. The environment was clean and hygienic, with specialist anti-viral cleaning equipment including an ozone machine and fogger used effectively. Staffing levels had been increased to prevent isolation for people who chose to remain in their rooms. The building had been adapted to support social distancing, with extra coffee tables purchased to space chairs apart and a visiting pod created. Risks to staff health, safety and wellbeing had been thoroughly assessed.
