Longton Court

Longton Court is a residential care home in Staffordshire supporting up to 7 people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and autistic people, in the main house and self-contained flats. The CQC rated the home good overall, an improvement from its previous requires improvement rating, after finding that infection control, medicines management and governance had all been strengthened since earlier breaches were identified.

Inspectors found staff understood people well, managed risks effectively and supported choice and independence. There was no registered manager in post at the time, though oversight arrangements were in place. Relatives spoke warmly of compassionate, knowledgeable staff and said they had no concerns about the care provided.
