Alice House

Alice House is a care home providing support to older people living with dementia. The service was previously rated inadequate and placed in special measures following serious breaches around safety, staffing, medicines and governance. Inspectors have now found significant improvement, with all breaches met, stronger management oversight, and the home no longer in special measures.

People and relatives spoke positively about kind, patient staff and improved communication from the home. Medicines were managed safely, food and activities were well received, and the atmosphere was described as calmer. The registered manager was due to leave, with recruitment and cover arrangements in place.

The CQC rated the home Good overall.
