Alice House

Alice House is a residential care home providing personal care and support to people with conditions associated with dementia, accommodating up to 32 people. The service operates in a large detached house with two floors, accessible by passenger lift. Ten assessment placements are available for people recovering from hospital stays, where staff assess their needs before they return home or move to longer-term accommodation. At inspection, the home was caring for seven people in the assessment unit and 19 in the main home. The property includes communal lounges, a dining room, and a garden area. All residents have individual bedrooms, with most rooms containing handwashing facilities and toilets; rooms without en-suite facilities share communal bathrooms. Following a previous COVID-19 outbreak, all residents and staff had tested negative at the time of inspection.
