Lilac Cottage

Lilac Cottage supports autistic people and people with a learning disability to live independently in their own flats, with access to shared communal areas. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding it had made improvements since its last inspection and was no longer in breach of regulation. Inspectors found staff managed risks and medicines safely, with enough skilled staff and thorough investigation of incidents.

Inspectors found people were involved in planning their own care and were supported with dignity, choice and access to assistive technology to stay in touch with family. Leaders fostered a culture of trust, and relatives praised the support their family members received, describing noticeable progress in independence and wellbeing.
