Lavender Lodge Nursing Home

Lavender Lodge Nursing Home is a nursing home providing care and support to older people living with dementia and/or physical disabilities. Following earlier enforcement action, the CQC found the provider had made significant improvements, supported by external management consultancy, and was no longer in breach of regulations relating to safety, governance and person-centred care. The service has come out of special measures and is no longer rated inadequate.

Inspectors still found some inconsistencies in care records, unfinished refurbishment work and poor signage around the building. Governance systems had improved but needed further embedding. People and relatives reported a better culture, feeling safe, listened to and well known by staff, with person-centred activities in place.
