Lavender Fields

Lavender Fields in Kent is a residential home providing accommodation and personal care for older people and people living with dementia, supporting up to 75 people across three floors. The CQC rated the home inadequate overall and has placed it into special measures. Inspectors found breaches of seven legal regulations, including safe care, safeguarding, dignity, consent and staffing, and found that risks to people's health had not been consistently assessed or managed.

People and relatives were generally positive about daily care but raised concerns about frequent changes in management and heavy reliance on agency staff, which made it hard to build relationships. The CQC found quality monitoring systems were not effective and that known shortfalls had not been addressed, meaning problems continued.
