Lammas Lodge

Lammas Lodge is a residential care home providing personal care and accommodation for up to 7 people with a learning disability or autism. At inspection, the service was at full capacity with 7 residents. The home operates with appropriate restrictions in place to keep people safe from harm, applied lawfully and in line with assessed needs.

Staff support residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives, using the least restrictive approaches possible and acting in their best interests. Care and support is delivered in line with each person's individual needs and strengths, with medicines managed safely.

Staff demonstrate a strong understanding of their responsibility to protect people from poor care, neglect and abuse. They speak affectionately and with genuine understanding about the people they care for. The service learns from incidents that occur, implementing changes that decrease the risk of similar events happening again.

Overall, the home maintains policies and systems that support respectful, person-centred care practices.
