Aston House

Aston House accommodates up to 16 people with mental health support needs, providing either long-term housing or support towards greater independence. At inspection, 15 residents lived at the home. Staff did not always monitor and review people's care and support regularly enough to ensure they had current information to provide effective support.

The home environment required urgent repairs due to a leaking roof that had caused damp patches on walls and ceilings, though the provider had arranged repairs for the following weeks. Medicines were managed and administered safely and respectfully, and staff followed safe infection control practices. While the provider had systems in place to monitor performance through data collection, regular audits and analysis, these had not identified all the issues found during inspection.
