About Ladyfield House

Ladyfield House is a residential care home in Rotherham, providing personal care and support for older people. Details of the CQC's most recent assessment are set out below.

Ladyfield House is a residential care home providing personal care to older people. The CQC assessed the service after receiving concerns, and found it requires improvement overall. Medicines were not always managed safely, and risks to people's care were not always clearly documented, though the provider had begun taking action to address these issues.

Governance systems were newly developed and needed further embedding.

People and relatives spoke positively about care, describing staff as kind, patient and well organised, though some felt staffing levels were sometimes insufficient. Food was praised, and people felt safe and well supported. The manager was well regarded, and healthcare access was in place, but the CQC found breaches relating to medicines management and governance.
