About Kiwi House

Kiwi House is a residential care home based in Derby, offering a place where residents can feel genuinely at home in familiar surroundings. The team here understands how important it is for families to feel confident and at ease when choosing care for someone they love. With a real commitment to getting things right for every person who lives there, Kiwi House aims to provide a warm and supportive environment for all residents.

Kiwi House provides personal and nursing care for up to 78 younger and older people, including those living with dementia, across three separate floors. At the time of inspection, 48 people were resident at the home. Risks are assessed, mitigated and reviewed regularly, and medicines are managed safely.

The home maintains enough suitably trained staff to meet residents' needs and promotes people's independence where possible.

Staff support people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. Management oversight continues to improve, with an established care manager and a new manager registering with CQC. The provider is open and honest about ongoing improvements at the service.
