Clova House Residential Care Home

Clova House accommodates up to 20 people, providing residential care and personal care support. During inspection, 19 residents were living there. Some people reported there were not always enough staff, and records confirmed staffing levels were sometimes lower than required, potentially affecting how quickly staff could respond to needs. Despite these challenges, staff were observed working hard to meet people's requirements.

Medicine administration posed some concerns. While medicines were given as prescribed, sufficient records were not consistently maintained, which could compromise the safety of medication management. Additionally, some mental capacity assessments were not in place, meaning certain people may not have been properly supported in relation to their capacity to make decisions.
