Elvaston Lodge Nursing Home

Elvaston Lodge Residential Home accommodates 44 people across two floors, providing long-term, respite, and palliative care. At the time of inspection, 37 people were living at the service. The home had implemented comprehensive COVID-19 safety measures including visitor screening questionnaires, temperature checks, and enhanced cleaning schedules focusing on high-touch areas like handrails and door handles. During lockdown periods, the home closed to non-essential visitors while supporting residents to maintain contact with family and friends through video and telephone calls. Essential caregivers were permitted to visit in line with government guidance. Staff changed into and out of uniforms at work to reduce infection risk.
