Inspectors found people felt safe and spoke positively about their care, describing staff as professional, caring and friendly. Medicines were managed safely, staffing levels and recruitment checks were adequate, and risks were regularly assessed. Care plans reflected people's choices, activities were encouraged, and the management team sought people's views to drive ongoing improvement.

Elvaston Lodge is a residential and nursing home, for up to 44 people. At the time of our assessment 35 people were using the service. We completed this assessment between 3 and 31 July 2024. We conducted a site visit on the 3 July 2024. We spoke to one person’s visitor and five people that were using the service. At the last inspection, this location was rated as good. We assessed 17 quality statements under the five key questions of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well Led. We assessed these 17 quality statements as Good and the overall rating for the service remains Good.
