About King Street - Care Home Physical Disabilities

King Street is a residential care home in Leicestershire supporting autistic people and people with learning and physical disabilities. Full details from the CQC's most recent assessment are set out below.

King Street provides accommodation and personal care for autistic people and people with learning and physical disabilities, supporting 17 people at the time of assessment. The CQC found risk management and staffing safety had improved, moving the service out of special measures. However, inspectors found staff skill mix and consistency still fell short at times, limiting people's access to the community and personal goals.

Governance was strengthening under an interim manager, though systems were still embedding rather than fully proven. People gave mixed feedback, praising kind staff but raising concerns about turnover and communication. Inspectors rated the home requires improvement overall, with caring, responsive and well-led also requiring improvement.
