Highbury Residential Home

Highbury Residential Home provides personal care for up to 27 older people, many living with dementia. At inspection, 23 people were using the service. The home has made improvements to the environment, ensuring it is clean and well maintained with appropriate equipment in place.

However, further improvements are needed in food preparation, storage areas, and some furnishings.

Staff follow safe procedures with personal protective equipment and understand safeguarding processes, confidently reporting concerns. Risk assessments are in place and monitored, though not all are personalised to individual needs or fully reflect changes in people's circumstances. Care plans and records do not consistently demonstrate people's involvement in developing and reviewing their own care.

The provider has been recommended to consider current guidance on accessible information systems to improve how information is presented to residents.
