Ivy House

Ivy House provides accommodation and personal care for up to five younger adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, physical disabilities or sensory impairments. The service offers both ongoing residential care and respite care for people needing emergency support or to provide breaks for regular carers. At inspection, one person was using the service on an ongoing basis while three others regularly accessed respite care.

However, inspectors found the service was not adequately safeguarding residents. The provider had not effectively monitored the quality and safety of support provided, and issues identified at the previous inspection had not been adequately addressed. The service had not embedded a culture of improvement or made timely changes to minimise risks to people. While feedback from relatives and professionals was positive, the service had not fully engaged people and those important to them in planning and developing the service.
