Hunters Lodge

Hunters Lodge provides personal care and support to older people, those with learning disabilities and autism, physical disabilities, and dementia. Seven people were living there at the time of inspection, with capacity for up to nine residents. Staff support people to maximize choice, control, and independence by focusing on their strengths and promoting what they can do, enabling fulfilling and meaningful everyday lives. Residents are supported to pursue their interests and achieve personal aspirations and goals. The service works with people to plan for periods of distress, ensuring freedoms are restricted only when necessary and alternatives are unavailable. Staff avoid restraint where possible and record incidents to learn from them and identify ways to reduce or prevent future occurrences.
