Huish House

Huish House provides accommodation and personal care for 12 people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments or physical disabilities. The home is currently undergoing staffing changes, with a new manager recently promoted from the deputy manager position who is keen to develop and improve the service. The manager is working to ensure the home maintains an inclusive, open and honest ethos while supporting residents through this period of transition.

Inspectors formed judgements based on observations of care and discussions with staff and relatives, as residents were unable to communicate their experiences directly. The service is focused on supporting people through the staffing changes and maintaining continuity of care during this time.
