Himley Mill Care Home

Himley Mill Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 86 people across two separate units, with one wing specializing in dementia care. The service currently accommodates 48 people with adapted facilities in each unit.

Care records did not always accurately reflect people's needs, with some care plans lacking sufficient detail that could compromise the effectiveness of care and treatment. The audit process was inconsistent in identifying these shortfalls. However, staffing levels were adequate to meet people's needs, and staff had received necessary training and demonstrated good knowledge of individual residents' requirements.
