The Village Nursing Home

The home provides personal and nursing care for up to 90 people across three floors, with each floor divided into two separate units with their own communal areas. It supports people with complex needs including dementia and those requiring nursing care. At inspection, 68 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified concerns about medicines management, finding insufficient information in records for time-sensitive medications to ensure people received them as prescribed. Risk management was also inadequate, with gaps in records to support how risks were being managed and discrepancies between different records. The home's own internal checks had not identified these shortfalls before the inspection.
