Highbury House Mental Health Unit

Highbury House in Dudley is a nursing home providing care and accommodation for up to 20 people, including those detained under the Mental Health Act, people with mental health needs, learning disabilities or autism, and people affected by substance misuse. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding that risk management and monitoring, including fluid intake tracking, needed strengthening, and asking the provider for an action plan.

Inspectors also found positives: staff were safely recruited and trained, medicines were managed well, and lessons were learned from incidents. People and relatives gave positive feedback, saying they felt safe and involved, and staff were seen as skilled and caring.
