HF Trust - Corunna Close

Corunna Close is a care home that accommodates up to five people in an adapted main building and a separate one-bedroom annex. The service specializes in supporting people living with Prader-Willi Syndrome. At the time of inspection, three people were using the service, cared for by a dedicated staff team providing one-to-one support based on individual needs.

The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices. Effective processes were in place for visitor entry, with adequate personal protective equipment available and used appropriately. Staff organized visits based on individual circumstances to reduce anxieties, and facilitated virtual meetings with family members and healthcare professionals to promote wellbeing. The premises layout was modified to support social distancing, with unnecessary items removed and furniture strategically positioned. Individual risk assessments were in place for people and staff at increased infection risk, with isolation facilities available. Information was provided in alternative formats to help people understand relevant information. Audits and governance ensured the premises remained clean, organized, and clutter-free, while the registered manager actively supported the wellbeing of both people and staff.
