The Old Vicarage Care Home

The Old Vicarage provides residential care for up to 19 elderly people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 17 people were using the service. The home maintains high hygiene standards with frequent cleaning throughout the day and additional night-time cleaning of communal areas. All staff change into uniforms at work and change out before leaving premises. The building is kept clean and clutter-free.

The service implements robust infection control measures including temperature checks, hand washing, health questionnaires, and full personal protective equipment for all staff regardless of residents' COVID-19 status. Whole home testing is in place for people, visitors, and staff. The home allows limited visiting for those receiving end-of-life care or when visits significantly impact resident wellbeing, balancing safety with compassionate care.
