Heathcote Care Home

Heathcote Care Home provides residential care and support to up to 17 people living with dementia or other mental health needs. At the time of inspection, 16 residents were living at the home. There were enough staff on duty to meet people's individual needs, and people felt safe with the care they received. Staff knew residents well and conducted risk assessments for each person.

However, instructions for staff to reduce identified risks were not always clear or consistently followed. The registered manager and management team immediately worked to address shortfalls identified during the inspection. A recommendation was made regarding staff recruitment processes and oversight of the home to strengthen safeguarding and care quality.
