Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care for up to 60 older adults, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 53 people were using the service, which operates across two adjoining buildings connected by a corridor.

Inspectors found that risks to people had not always been properly assessed, and care plans did not consistently detail identified risks or the actions needed to mitigate them. Quality assurance systems had not been effective at identifying these shortfalls in risk management. However, people felt safe, and staff demonstrated understanding of their role in recognising potential abuse and knew the appropriate actions to take in response.
