Haywood Oaks Care Home, in Nottinghamshire, is a residential care home supporting adults, including people living with dementia. Inspectors found medicines were not always managed safely, staff recruitment checks were incomplete, and records on people's nutrition and fluid intake were inconsistent.

Management audits had failed to pick up these issues.

Despite this, staff were found to treat people with kindness and respect, communicating well and asking for consent before providing care. People said staff were friendly, though some felt care visits, such as showers, were limited by staff availability. Everyone spoken to said they would recommend the home.
