Hayward Care Centre

Hayward Care Centre provides nursing and personal care for up to 80 people, including those over and under 65, with sensory or physical disabilities and dementia. Inspectors found the service now managed medicines safely, staffing levels were generally sufficient, and care plans addressed risks such as falls and malnutrition well. People and relatives described staff as kind and caring, and felt safe and well supported.

However, the CQC found governance had not identified shortfalls in one person's care, and leaders lacked knowledge of guidance for supporting autistic people and those with a learning disability, leading to a breach relating to person-centred care. Feedback on food quality was mixed. Overall the home was rated Good.
