Havering Court Care Home

This care home provides nursing and personal care for up to 52 people aged 18 and over, including those with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At inspection, 49 people were living at the facility, which has two floors with adapted en-suite rooms.

Inspectors found that medicines were not managed safely, putting people at risk of not receiving prescribed medications. The home's policies and systems did not always support people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, or enable staff to support them in the least restrictive way possible. However, systems to protect people from abuse were in place and risks to safety were assessed. People and relatives described staff as respectful and caring. Staff followed infection control procedures, and people were protected from infection risks.
