Barleycroft Care Home

Barleycroft Care Home provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 80 people across three floors, one of which specialises in caring for people living with dementia. At the time of assessment, 59 people were using the service. The CQC rating has changed from Good to Requires Improvement, following an inspection focused on how safe and well led the home is.

Inspectors found that risks to people were not always being assessed and managed effectively, though staff understood safeguarding and medicines were managed safely. Governance systems were in place but had not identified or addressed some of the issues found. Caring, effective and responsive care remained rated Good.
