Haven Court

Haven Court is a purpose-built care home that accommodates 80 people requiring nursing and personal care, including some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 66 people were using the service. The registered manager had implemented effective monitoring systems to ensure compliance with government guidance and provider policies. Staff demonstrated confidence and knowledge about COVID-19 protocols, with professional visitors and relatives tested on-site and staff providing evidence of vaccination status before entering.

The service maintained a comprehensive testing programme for both staff and people, extending to emergency caregivers. All COVID-19 related risks to people, staff and visitors had been identified, assessed and mitigated. People were actively encouraged and supported to maintain community connections and visit relatives, with family members able to visit in rooms, communal areas and the garden. Staff had access to appropriate PPE throughout the home and received additional training on correct usage and infection prevention and control measures during the pandemic.
