Haven Care Home

Haven Care home provides personal and nursing care for up to 36 older people with a range of health care needs. At the time of inspection, 34 people were living at the home. Staff knew residents well and kept them safe through effective systems for identifying and managing risks. The home was clean and hygienic, with staff practices that reduced infection risk. Medicines were stored, managed and administered safely, with effective processes in place to check their safety.

People's needs and choices were assessed in line with standards and guidance before they moved into the home, with assessments forming the basis for their care plans. Staff were recruited safely and appropriately deployed to support residents. The home had systems and processes in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and avoidable harm.
