Arundel Park Lodge

Arundel Park Lodge is a nursing and residential care home in Saltdean accommodating 30 people across two floors. It provides personal and nursing care to people with health and age-related needs, including those living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and Multiple Sclerosis. At the time of inspection, 28 people were resident at the service.

Staff provided personalised care and people were happy with the support they received, feeling safe with those caring for them. Systems were in place to protect people from abuse, with staff able to identify potential harm and report concerns. Nurses administered medicines safely, and staff were well-supported with the right skills and knowledge to meet people's needs effectively. People benefited from a consistent staff team who knew them well. However, care plans did not always reflect a person-centred approach to meeting individual needs and preferences.
