About Harwich House

Harwich House is a residential care home in the charming county of West Sussex, offering a familiar, homely setting for those who need support with daily life. Families looking into care options will find a small, intimate environment where the focus is on getting to know each resident as an individual. West Sussex itself provides a welcoming backdrop, with its mix of peaceful countryside and accessible local communities nearby.

Harwich House provides residential care and accommodation for people with learning disabilities, supporting up to nine people. Eight residents were living at the service at the time of inspection.

The service was not fully able to demonstrate how they were meeting underpinning principles regarding support, care, and culture for people with learning disabilities. Inspectors observed gaps in how the home ensured residents had access to the choices, dignity, independence, and community involvement that the service is expected to provide.
