About Hartley House Care Home

Hartley House Care Home is a residential care home in Kent, offering care across several adjoining units. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent inspection findings are set out below.

Hartley House provides residential care for 57 older people and people living with dementia across four adjoining units. At inspection, 40 people were living at the service. The home had implemented strong infection control procedures, including appointment-only visiting with temperature checks and external access to residents' rooms.

A visitor pod with a floor-to-ceiling screen enabled safe face-to-face contact. Gifts from outside were quarantined for 72 hours before being given to residents. Staff had adequate personal protective equipment and demonstrated correct usage and safe disposal practices.

The registered manager had introduced a new uniform policy to support infection prevention measures.
