Hartfield House Care Home

This nursing and residential home provides care for up to 62 older people with long-term health needs, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 48 people were resident at the service. Staff demonstrated strong infection prevention practices, with regular training in COVID-19 safety and hand hygiene. Management conducted observations of staff PPE practice to maintain good standards. People isolating in their rooms received frequent support from staff to engage in activities of their choice, including new residents. Individual COVID-19 risk assessments were regularly reviewed for all residents to identify vulnerabilities and address them appropriately. The registered manager actively participated in local forums with other health and social care professionals to share best practice approaches during the pandemic.
