Halcyon Days

Halcyon Days provides care and support to up to 57 people, some of whom live with dementia. At the time of inspection, 38 people were living at the service. Safe visiting procedures were in place, with visitors required to provide a negative test before entry. During a COVID-19 outbreak, alternative visiting arrangements were implemented. Staff demonstrated good infection control practices, including correct use of personal protective equipment that was readily available throughout the home, frequent handwashing, and consistent allocation to the same areas where possible. The management team conducted regular observations of staff practices and infection control audits, with any required actions completed promptly.
