Haddon Hall Care Home

Haddon Hall Care Home in Derbyshire is a nursing home registered for up to 75 people, supporting older people including those living with dementia, across residential, nursing and dementia care units. At the time of the assessment, 53 people were living there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, an improvement on the previous inspection, which had identified breaches relating to safe care, staffing and governance.

Inspectors found risks were now properly assessed and managed, staffing levels were sufficient, and care plans guided safe practice. People and relatives said staff knew them well and treated them with dignity, and felt able to approach anyone for information. Some relatives said they would feel more confident with a permanent manager in place, though the home was described as well run and one they would recommend to others.
