Gwen Walford House

Gwen Walford House is a nursing home providing nursing and personal care for up to 30 people, including older adults, younger people, those living with dementia, and people with physical disabilities or sensory impairments. The CQC found the service was performing well, rating it Good overall. Staff were trained to keep people safe, medicines were managed properly, and staffing levels were sufficient.

People and relatives described staff as kind, gentle and excellent, and felt safe raising concerns. Care plans were personalised and regularly reviewed, and independence and dignity were supported. Inspectors noted some clinical documentation needed better personalising, and governance and auditing were being strengthened.
