Gwen Walford House

Gwen Walford is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care to 26 people aged 65 and over, with capacity for up to 30 residents. The service offers full-time convalescent, residential and palliative care to those with dementia-related illnesses or those requiring general nursing care.

Staff understand how to keep people safe and protect them from avoidable harm. Risks are assessed for each person and staff have up to date guidance to maintain safety. The home has systems in place for the safe management, supply and disposal of medicines, with residents receiving their medications regularly. Staffing levels are currently under review to ensure sufficient staff are deployed effectively to meet residents' needs.
