Grove Court is a care home providing personal care and support to older people. The CQC assessment followed up on conditions placed on the provider after a previous inspection, and the service continues to be rated as Requires Improvement overall.

Inspectors found a continued breach relating to good governance, as quality assurance systems had not improved enough since the last assessment. However, progress was noted in managing risks and medicines safely, and people described staff as kind, respectful and attentive, saying they felt safe and well cared for.

The assessment took place between 18 July and 02 August 2024. We undertook this assessment to follow up conditions placed on the provider following the last inspection. We found one continued breach of the legal regulation in relation to good governance. The provider had not made enough improvements to quality assurance systems, since our last assessment. However, improvements were being made in assessing people’s risks and managing medicines safely. People were treated with kindness and compassion and felt safe.
