Greenslades Nursing Home

Greenslades Nursing Home provides care for up to 67 people across two units. The ISCA unit accommodates 36 people with dementia or mental health needs, while Belvedere supports 31 people with general nursing needs. At inspection, 52 people were living at the service. People told inspectors they felt safe with staff, and healthcare professionals spoke positively of the care provided. The service had effective safeguarding systems and processes in place, with staff understanding reporting procedures. Staff supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible.

The environment was safe with regular health and safety checks completed. Medicines were safely managed, pre-employment recruitment checks were undertaken, and staffing levels were appropriate. Systems were in place to ensure that any people deprived of their liberty had the appropriate legal authority in place to do so.
