About Godiva Lodge

Godiva Lodge is a residential care home in Coventry, offering personal care for older adults, including some living with dementia. Further details on the service can be found in the CQC findings below.

Godiva Lodge is a residential care home in Coventry providing personal care for up to 40 older adults, some living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding people felt safe, well cared for and supported by a consistent staff team who knew them well. Staff were recruited safely, trained appropriately, and supported people to take part in activities such as exercise sessions and gardening.

Inspectors did identify some shortfalls, including gaps in records for medicines administered via patches, and monitoring systems that had not always picked up environmental risks such as exposed pipes and unsafely stored topical medicines. Despite these issues, risks to people were generally well assessed, and staff understood their responsibilities to keep people safe and support decisions in their best interests.
