The registered manager had implemented robust infection prevention and control measures, including screening procedures for all essential visitors with health questionnaires, temperature checks, lateral flow test evidence, and vaccination verification. Staff had completed training in infection control and hand washing, and personal protective equipment was plentiful and correctly used throughout the home. The home maintained regular COVID-19 testing for staff and residents, with all staff fully vaccinated. The registered manager had established effective systems to ensure compliance with national policy requirements and had reviewed cleaning schedules to include weekly deep cleans. Areas identified as requiring improvement to align with infection prevention and control guidance were being addressed, with the manager securing funding and working with the provider and landlord to implement necessary improvements.
