Glasshouse College

Glasshouse College is a specialist residential college and shared lives service supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs. At the time of inspection, 18 people were receiving support across 11 residential houses in various settings. The service demonstrates good knowledge of individual residents, with staff understanding how to manage risks and report concerns appropriately. Staff numbers are sufficient to meet people's needs, and medicines are managed safely.

Residents access local facilities and are supported to pursue their interests. The residential houses cater to individual needs, with consideration given to those in more rural settings. The service provides long-term placements within shared lives providers' own homes, creating community-based living arrangements for the young people it supports.
