Generals Meadow

Generals Meadow provides personal care to up to 18 older people living with dementia in one large adapted building. At inspection, 17 residents were being supported. The home had made improvements to the building and garden to enhance safety and wellbeing. Medicines were managed safely and administered as prescribed, and staff recruitment was conducted safely with sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs.

Residents reported feeling safe and comfortable. Risk assessments were in place with guidance for staff to mitigate identified risks. Accidents and incidents were recorded and analysed to identify patterns, with action taken to prevent recurrence. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives using the least restrictive approach possible. Systems were established to protect people from abuse and discrimination, and regular checks and audits were completed across all aspects of the service with action taken to address any shortfalls.
