Forest Edge

Forest Edge provides accommodation and personal care for up to 32 older people, many living with dementia, sensory loss, physical disabilities, or mental health conditions. At inspection, 21 people were using the service.

Relatives reported that their loved ones felt safe. However, inspectors found gaps in how risks were being managed. When people experienced unwitnessed falls, post-fall observations were not consistently completed. Incident records showed investigations were not always thorough enough to ensure people's safety. The home needs stronger governance systems in place to monitor and improve the quality of care provided.
