Ocknell Park

Ocknell Park is a small home providing care and support for up to 12 people, with all 12 places occupied at the time of assessment. The CQC found people felt safe and well supported, describing staff as kind, caring and compassionate. Care plans were person centred, medicines were managed properly, and people had good access to activities and health professionals.

However, inspectors found governance was not always effective. Lessons were not consistently learned from incidents, and the provider's own oversight systems had not picked up these shortfalls. This led to a breach of regulation around good governance, though confidence remained in the registered manager.
