Jaden House

Jaden House provides accommodation and support for up to 5 people with a learning disability, autism, mental health needs or sensory impairment, including respite care. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding weaknesses in how medication and risk were managed, a poor understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and restrictive practices in place. Governance systems were not robust enough to identify and drive improvement, and inspectors found ongoing breaches of regulations relating to safeguarding, safe care and treatment, and governance.

Despite this, the CQC found staff to be caring and attentive, with families describing them as kind, reassuring and responsive to concerns. Inspectors observed positive, familiar interactions between staff and people using the service.
