Falstone Court

This 40-bed nursing and residential care home provides accommodation for people including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 29 people were resident at the service. The home had implemented comprehensive infection control measures including temperature checks, PPE protocols, enhanced cleaning schedules, and additional staff facilities to support social distancing. Staffing levels were safe with consistent continuity of care provided by permanent staff, with nursing agency staff ringfenced to the service and included in regular testing programmes.

The service facilitated outdoor visits safely and supported people to maintain regular contact with family members through video and telephone calls, with plans to further improve visiting arrangements during winter months. Relatives gave extremely positive feedback about the safety and quality of care their loved ones received. Infection control audits, additional training for staff, and ongoing support systems were in place to maintain standards.
